About The Founder
Dr. Robin Zasio, Psy. D., LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has been working in the field of mental health for the past 18 years and now specializes in utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Exposure and Response Prevention Techniques. After developing a thriving private practice, in November 2005 she developed The Anxiety Treatment Center, Inc. (http://www.AnxietyTreatmentExperts.com/) located in Sacramento, CA. This is the only one of it’s kind providing specialized treatment services for anxiety and related disorders in the Sacramento and surrounding counties. This is a “full service” center offering an Intensive Treatment Program (IOP), individual, group and family therapy, and home visits.
In July of 2007, Dr. Zasio annouced her new groundbreaking partnership with Jeff Bell, Radio Anchor and Author of Rewind, Replay, and Repeat: A Memoir of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Dr. Zasio and Jeff subsequently co-founded their new project “YourGreaterGood.com.” Jointly, they facilitate weekly workshops at the center, and conduct speaking engagements regularly across the United States.
Dr. Zasio currently maintains a private practice providing individual, group and family therapy services, in addition to supervising interns who are learning to treat anxiety, depression, and related conditions. Dr. Zasio was the President of the Sacramento Valley Psychological Association from 2003-2005. She currently remains on the board as Past President and MCEP Chair. Dr. Zasio is a member of the Obsessive Compulsive Foundation and serves on their Scientific Advisory Board and Speakers Bureau. She is also a member of the Sacramento Chapter of the National Alliance of the Mentally Ill where she serves on their Advisory Board and writes the "Drs. Column" for their monthly newsletter. She is also a member of the California Psychological Association, American Psychological association, Trichotillomania Learning Center, and Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies.
About Jeff Bell
Jeff Bell is an author and motivational speaker. His new book, Rewind, Replay, Repeat: A Memoir of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (Hazelden), recounts his long-secret battles with severe OCD and the elaborate double-life the disorder forced him to lead—as a successful news anchor secretly consumed by endless checking, washing, and other rituals—before getting the CBT/ERP help that he needed. Jeff is actively involved with the Obsessive Compulsive Foundation—for which he recently served as a keynote speaker—and Mental Health America’s Real Lives Campaign—for which he serves as national spokesperson. He is a 2007 recipient of MHA’s prestigious forWARDS Award for "moving the cause of mental health forward." Jeff is committed to helping others tackle CBT/ERP therapy, and to that end, has developed what he calls a "Greater Good" motivational framework, based on his own recovery experience. Jeff can be heard weekday afternoons on KCBS Radio (740 AM). You can find further information on Jeff’s work at http://www.yourgreatergood.com/.
